Take a look through my “recent works” in my portfolio, and these are all my styles and shapes that I can currently make! These are the glazes and colors and clay bodies that I have available in my home studio. I will let you know if a specific project is too far outside of my usual style and may have to decline if so.

Allow for approximately two months, depending on where I am in my firing cycle. Ceramic work is a slow process as each item needs to dry slowly, be fired twice, and many other steps in between! If I experience technical difficulties (usually kiln problems) additional time will be necessary.

Custom items are usually a bit more expensive than the standard items in my shop, as I will usually make a backup item to ensure that the final product is up to my quality standards! I require 50% of payment before I begin making the work, and then the other 50% after completion. Payment can be done via email invoice or Venmo. Shipping is an additional charge but local pickup/ drop off is an option for those in and around Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Wholesale pricing is 60% of my recommended retail price. Shipping is an additional cost. Payment is due at the time of order completion, via check, venmo, or cash. All checks can be made out to “Alex Schmiechen”.
